Finger Voting

Everybody  –   No Supplies   –  2 Minutes

How to Run Finger Voting

  1. Tell the group what you’re checking in about
  2. Inform them what the scale is
  3. Vote by having everyone hold up their fingers or by putting a number in the chat

Examples & Prompts

Assess the groups comfort level

“On a scale of 1-5 how comfortable are you in the water? One being barely experienced and five being prolific swimmers, show me where you rate your skill level.”

Assess how a conversation went

“How intense did you find the discussion of the last topic on a scale of one to five? One being ‘not at all intense’ and five being ‘I might need a quick break before we move one’ which are you feeling right now?

Assess previous knowledge

“On a scale of one to five, one being I’ve never heard of this before, and five being I could write a whole book on the subject, where are you?”
