What's New with Facilitator Cards!

The latest version of Facilitator Cards are an improvement (and not an expansion) of the original deck. We want to make sure you know all that’s new with the update so you can know if upgrading to the new deck is right for you!

Summary of Changes!

Below you’ll find all the details of what we changed and upgraded wth V2 but here’s a summary.

  • Added time duration to each card
  • Added card page URL to bottom of each card
  • Improved clarity of the group size, materials, and category icons
  • Improved clarity of process descriptions
  • Changed the titles of multiple
  • Replaced 5 of the least used cards with 5 new processes
  • Revamped the colors
  • Revamped the design

When people ask us, “Do I need to buy a new deck of Facilitator Cards?” our answer is no, you definitely don’t need to. You can still attend all our Facilitator Cards 101 (formerly called Card Sharks) trainings and any of the new workbooks or supplimental materials will still work with the V1 deck. You may want to upgrade but that’s entirely up to you!

V1 Card Design Vs. V2 Card Design

The V1 Facilitator Cards has the icons indicating group size, focus area, and materials along the top, the title of the cards in white, and the text mostly center justified below.

With the new V2 cards all the text is in black, left justified, and we’ve redesigned the icons entirely to have word and images to make it easier and more clear to use. The other significant change on the V2 cards is the addition of time duration (information not on the V1 cards) and the fc.cards URL at the bottom which brings you to a webpage where you can find out more information about that card!

New Cards (and what they replaced)

There were some cards in the original decks of Facilitator Cards that just weren’t as used or widely useful as we thought they could be. So we removed those and replaced them with some updated processes.
