Solo – Prepared Materials – 10 Minutes

How to Run Gallery Exhibit
- Curate your images, quotes, facts, questions, and other media into an exhibit before the session
- Prepare the gallery in the space before the session begins
- Have participants move around the space, giving them time to take in all of the materials
- (Optional) Debrief reactions and comments after everyone has viewed the gallery
Example & Prompt
You are leading a conversation about climate change policy and disaster relief efforts for your community. You want to have an activity that grounds the group in what has been true along different time horizons, what the community looked like long ago, policies and practices that have been normalized in the recent past, and what brought you all here today.
You cover the walls with maps, charts, photographs, statistics, and quotes and invite all participants to move around the room, reading and looking at the artifacts and making note of what moves them and stands out to them.
