Pair & Share
Pairs – No Supplies – 5 Minutes

How to Run Pair & Share
- Divide the group into pairs
- Provide them a prompt to discuss
- Let them know how much time they have and if they’ll need to prepare anything to share back when they’re done
Example & Prompt
This process allows for any prompt to be discussed in pairs. See a few examples of prompts we use with Pair & Share below:
- “What are you hoping to get out of the workshop today?”
- “Tell your partner about a person who has influenced your style of teaching.”
- “When you think about our goals as a unit, what are the ones you’re most drawn to?”
- “What do you think is the most important thing to focus on in the next six months to build this union?”
- “What are the things that bothered you last year that you think could be addressed before this school year?”
Pair & Share is one of our favorite Facilitator Cards! Check out this video for more about how we use Pair & Share to increase participation.
