Thinking & Feeling

Everybody  –   No Supplies   –  10 Minutes

How to Run Thinking & Feeling

  1. Give the group the prompt, “I want everyone to share one thing they’re thinking and one thing they’re feeling
  2. Ask for a volunteer to go first
  3. Call on the next participant once the first person has gone
  4. Repeat until everyone has spoken

Examples & Prompts

As a check-in

“Today’s topic is going to be exploring introverted leadership. When you think about being an introverted leader, tell me one thing you’re thinking and one thing you’re feeling.”

As a check-out

“If you had a friend who couldn’t attend the session and they asked you about what you’re walking away with, what’s one thing you’d tell them you were thinking about and one thing you were feeling?”

As a moment of pause

“We just had a really tumultuous discussion about the budget. I’d like to hear from everyone: what’s one thing you’re thinking, and what’s one emotion that you either are feeling or want to feel by the end of today’s meeting?”
